About Cloning for food purposes

The cloning of animals for food purposes would not be so much different from their natural (artificial insemination) reproduction unless a sort of artificial womb could be designed (biologically or chemical/mechanically manufactured) removing the need for using female animals for reproduction and maybe accelerating the rate of reproduction through farms of wombs with 1000s of animals being reproduced at once. This is very sci-fi but I guess doable.

Bringing Back Extinct and Saving Endangered species through Bio Science

There currently exists technologies to bring back many of the extinct species and save many currently endangered species through genetics, bioengineering and artificial insemination. This could be done through some project much like the same carried out in the Jurassic Park movies but not only for dangerous dinosaurs. This can be both profitable and can be helpful to the environment and if such project comes to life then other endangered species could be saved. Also through bioengineering the current endangered species could be genetically enhanced to deal with changing conditions and expected global warming. I just don’t know why such a thing is not considered and/or carried out.

Heat Absorbing Batteries

I was wondering if a material or fabric could be made that would hold and reserve human body or environment heat into themselves through chemical reactions and release them when they are excited with chemical or electrical trigger(s). This would be useful in absorbing the heat during warmer times and keeping people and places warm by releasing the inwardly held heat during cold times. This fabric or material could act very much the same way battery keeps electical energy.

Plastic eating BioEngineered Planktons

I heard that there is a growing problem with Plastics and Plastic particles in Oceans. I was wondering if it would be possible to Bio Engineer Planktons which would eat and decompose plastics and yet they would not be fish friendly so fishes do not eat them and hence harmless to environment and their population diminish as the problem with plastics diminishes. This way we would not have plastic filled fishes on our plates…

Nano Silver Ball Mirrors or LCDs

I was wondering if mirrors could be made of nano balls of silver which could turn exposing the silver or black (or any other color) side. This would work the same way the electronic paper works. This technology could be incorporated into LCD panels to turn them into mirrors when they are not in use.

Fat Absorbing Gel

It would be cool if a Gel could be made that when applied periodically over fatty body parts would absorb fat through skin and then the Gel itself could be washed away.

Focusing Mirrors

I was wondering if the concept of focusing mirrors could be used in making Car Side Mirrors which have a bendable surface and can be mechanically adjusted to focus and enlarge far away objects and cars for us to see them better.

Gentically Modified Designer Plants and Trees

I don’t know how come they still haven’t come up with Gentically modified designer Plants and Trees with Pink, Purple or Blue colored leaves and/or bark. Also using nanotechnology the stones and gravel could be made to change color during different times of the day to suit the lighting of the environment for example they could glow at night and be silver color during day.

Anti Plaque Sweetner

I was wondering about a sweetner or additive that could be used in conjunction or as a replacement to sugar and it is not only not destructive to teeth but also helpful in eliminating plaque. This sweetner or additive could be used in making confectionery, sweets and other food items.

Spray on packaging

I was wondering if it would be possible for Packaging and gift wraps to be sprayed on boxes. Maybe a kind of latex spray could be used to spray a rippable coating/wraping.
