The burning pen

I was thinking how it would be nice to have pens that burn the paper using laser maybe at close range. This way there is no need for ink or graphite in order to write and the writing would be permanent or semi-permanent. Also things could be written on many different types of surface.

this is already done just not by humans but bottles etc all have that on them so your idea is a good one just have to tweak out how safe or powerful to make them
