The problem is NOT if these two elements can be separated, anyone with a high school science education knows it can be done. The problems are 1) Can it be done on a large scale, and 2) can it be done cost effectively.
On what scale would mass production be effective? What is the yeild? Can it be done safely?
Address these problems, solve them. You will then control the world.or at least have a fatter pocket.

I'm up for a fabric that absorbs heat from the body and converts and stores it as energy which can then be used in other means. If anyone knows of anything, please let us know. Nice idea aranate :)

yes and no, biomass gas is methane - CH4 and they already have molecular screens that can let protons pass thru and grab the 4 hydrogen electrons on the otherside creating an action potential/build up of charges - they are expensive but prices will fall and possibly the proton shot holes i n the screen can be changed to accomodate other molecules for this purpose

if you really want to start a revolution in phones- cell phones don't worry about the energy the fuel cells coming outwill be really good andcheap cost effective BUT what you need to do is make each phone a repeater - I am sure the chips could handle this nowadays - every phone is a repeater also and joins the group with that aagreeement - once everybody has joined you have very effective coverage with no towers and no costs to anybody except for the initial purchase

ya you used to be able to buy large diameter fiber optic cable in the u.s. at radio shack stores but they don't carry it anymore - you can get it on line and that would partially help the back lighting or power a little - sometimes people get fancy and string these up to the ceilings to make a light tube or flower light tube etc coming own and carryingthe sunlight to darker rooms
